Steadfast on our journey as leaders of the zero food waste movement to inspire others, we aim to provide healthy meals to people striving to feel better, do better, and ultimately live better. We believe that eating well, while protecting our planet, has a direct impact on our well-being now, and for years to come.

How we work is simple:

• You select your box size and choose from a wide selection of chef-prepared meals.
• Your meals are prepared by our chefs and delivered to your door.
• Heat in the microwave or oven and enjoy! Zero prep. Zero dishes. Zero food-waste.

Ethey’s Zero Food-Waste Cycle ensures that every ingredient in every meal is fully utilized, from harvest, to meal prep, to compost, to seed, back to harvest again.

Our zero food-waste cycle works as follows:

• Our chefs prepare only what is needed for your meals.
• Leftover food scraps are sent to our in-house worm farm and broken down by our hardworking worms.
• The worm casings are returned to the earth and used as nutrient-rich compost.

By doing something as simple as eating one dish from ethey, you’re helping eliminate 1 pound of food-waste.

Our meals are cooked in our very own production facility kitchen in London, Ontario. Our equipment is well suited for small-batch production while serving customers all across Canada.

The process is simple, but here are a few things to note for an even better ethey experience:

• Once you choose a subscription meal box-size, you will get weekly deliveries of your chosen meals unless you skip or cancel.
• You can change your meal selection every week to try from our curated list of chef prepared meals, up to 3 days before your delivery date.
• It’s easy to skip weeks! Login to your account, head over to the “Schedule” section. As long as you are making updates before the weekly deadline, you will see “Skip Week” by the date. If you change your mind and our chefs still have time to prepare your meals, you will see an option to “Resume Week.”
• We will send weekly notifications with deadline reminders for each order. There is a lot of planning that goes into shipping meals fresh to your door, so we need 3 days before your order delivery date.
• Your first order is a starting point for future orders. Every week that you update your meal selection, a new default menu will be set. Make sure to double check your meal selections weekly to ensure you’re getting the menu you want!

Our meals are individually portioned and intended to serve one person. With each meal you’re helping reduce 1 pound of food-waste from production to consumption.

You are able to change, skip, or cancel your subscription anytime!

Applicable sales tax will appear at checkout. You can upsize or downsize your meal plan anytime if you’d like more or less weekly meals. Our meals are individually portioned, intended to serve one person.

We offer meal-plans ranging from 4 meals to 20 meals per week. The larger the meal-box, the larger the savings! You can change your current meal plan through your account page under “Subscription”.

Of course! You are able to change your weekly meal plan in your account settings under the “Subscription” section. Our most popular plan is our 8 Meal-Box, which is perfect for weekly meals for one person.

Our ready-to-eat meals are prepared as single portions for one person. Please refer to our individual meal product pages for exact meal weight and nutritional breakdown. Our most popular plan is our 8 Meal-Box, which is perfect for weekly meals for one person.

Our meals are prepped and ready-to-eat in under 3 minutes! On the back sleeve of each meal, we have provided heating instructions for both heating in the microwave and oven.

Detailed instructions are below:

Remove cardboard sleeve, the plastic film, and the sauce container (if applicable) prior to heating. The containers are BPA-free, recyclable, oven safe and microwave safe.

Microwave: Remove the plastic film and microwave for 3-5 minutes. The internal temperature should be 160 degrees F (70'C) or above. Remove from the microwave carefully. Caution contents are very hot. You may need to stir your food halfway into your heating cycle to ensure the food is heated thoroughly. Serve and enjoy.

Oven: Recommended if you are heating your meals from frozen. Pre-heat oven to 350'F. The container should be placed on a baking sheet. Remove the plastic film. Heat food thoroughly for approximately 10-20 minutes. The internal temperature should be 160 degrees F (70'C) or above. Remove from oven carefully. Caution contents are very hot. Let the contents cool for 3-5 minutes. Serve and enjoy.

Our meals are chef prepared and delivered fresh and made-to-order. Typically meals have a best-before refrigerated shelf life of about 3-5 days. If you find you are not able to finish your meals before the printed best-before date, you can easily freeze your meals for up to 90 days! Our meal containers are freezer-safe, and we recommend using the oven for your meal straight from the freezer and add a few extra minutes.

To keep our prepared meals super fresh, we use modified atmospheric packaging. This involves modifying the composition of the internal atmosphere of the meals which improves the shelf life of fresh food by over 200% compared to regular packaging. This process lowers the amount of oxygen, which slows the speed of oxidation and slows the growth of aerobic organisms. It is completely safe, and allows our meals to withstand delivery time to stay fresh in your fridge without using any preservatives. We also use recyclable cardboard insulation liners, and non-toxic ice packs to keep your meals cool in transit.

Due to our production capacity, we unfortunately cannot accommodate any modifications to any meals.We have a large selection of curated meals including ones tailored to to various dietary restrictions including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.

Our chef and product team work hard to create healthy, balanced, and tasty meals for our customers. The meal weight and nutritional information is provided on each of the individual meal’s product page.

You can change your meal box size in your account settings. Login to your account at ethey.com, and click on the “Subscription” section, where you will see what meal plan you have selected. Select your new meal-box plan, and then hit “Update Subscription”, and you’re all set!

Once you are signed into your account, click on the “Schedule” section, and you will see your current and upcoming weekly orders. Head to the week that you would like to edit, and click on the “Add to Box” to add new meals for the week.

We make it super easy for you to skip a week, up to 2 weeks ahead of time. Once you are signed into your account, under the “Schedule” section you will see your upcoming order, where you can scroll to the specific week and click “Skip Week”.

If you would like to cancel your subscription, you can do so in your account settings. Login to your account at ethey.com, click on the “Subscriptions” section where you will see your current weekly meal plan, and then click “Cancel Subscription”.

We're proud to service all of Canada including Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia among other provinces and locales! Due to the perishable nature of our product and time-sensitive delivery, there are some areas that our delivery partners cannot service at this time. Before you place your order, you will be required to put in your delivery address’ postal code to determine if your address falls within our delivery locations. If you are concerned we do not deliver to your area, please reach out to our customer service team at hello@ethey.ca to get more information about delivery to your location.

We deliver across Canada on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We also offer Sunday as an additional delivery date for Ontario customers ordering in London, Toronto, and the Greater Toronto Region. Based on your postal code and our delivery schedule, you will only be able to select the delivery date that we offer for your location.

We offer free shipping for our 8, 12 and 20 Meal box!
For our 4 and 6 meal boxes, we offer a flat rate shipping cost of $9.99.

We use a network of delivery companies to help deliver our meals coast-to-coast directly to your door!

We deliver across Canada on Tuesdays and Thursdays through our delivery partner FedEx. FedEx generally delivers packages 8 am and 8 pm EST. If your delivery address is located in London, Ontario, Toronto, Ontario, or the Greater Toronto Area, we deliver on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays through our delivery partner Atripco. Atripco generally delivers between 8 am and 7 pm EST.

Each delivery company has their own policies for deliveries, and it is generally up to the discretion of the individual delivery driver. If you are not home at the time of delivery, the delivery driver may leave the package in a safe spot (mail room, concierge, etc) at the address you provide. If the driver does not feel there is a safe spot to leave your package, they may make another delivery attempt.

Our meals are packaged with recyclable cardboard insulation liners, and non-toxic ice packs to keep your meals cool in transit, so they can stay refrigerated in the box for up to 24 hours.

To give our delivery partners a well deserved break, we do not deliver on Statutory holidays. If a delivery day (Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday) lands on a Statutory holiday, orders will be delivered on the next available delivery day. For example, Tuesday deliveries move to Thursday, Thursday move to Sunday (if applicable in the GTA or London), and Sunday will be moved to Tuesday.

All packages containing meals are shipped in sturdy boxes with insulated corrugated liners, multiple long-lasting ice packs and eco-friendly packaged air to keep your meals secure and cool for up to 24 hours in the box. The box, insulated liner, and bubble wrap are recyclable, and we encourage you to recycle them to support ethey’s goals of sustainability.

We accept all major credit cards, as well as paypal.

Once you place your first order and create a subscription, you will be charged for that first order immediately. After your first order, there is an order deadline to make changes to your subscription, which is 3 days before your delivery date. You can make a variety of changes up to 3 days before your delivery date, which includes changing your meal selection, skipping a week, updating your weekly meal plan and canceling your order. Right after the deadline, your card will be charged and the order will be placed.
